Medford Strikers Socccer Club is proud to announce that we will be joining the "Atlantic United-A Fire" in their efforts to support such a wonderful cause; “Kick for Nick”


The purpose of “Kick for Nick” is to collect soccer balls and ship them overseas to our military bases in Iraq. The balls are then distributed to the children in the various war-torn cities that the US is helping to re-establish, providing enjoyment and bridging the gap to these children, while honoring a fallen soldier’s life – PFC Nick Madaras.

"We fell into this opportunity when I was moved by an ESPN story about this young man/soldier/soccer player/coach who attempted to heal and help these children using the game that he loved. When this young man lost his life during his tour in Iraq, his father and his local community rallied to start this charitable organization; and our club is now honored and privileged to be part of it". Medford Strikers SC along with the A-Fire will be collecting the balls and taking full responsibility for any packing and/or shipping to get the soccer balls to the designated military location. For any teams, clubs or organizations that may be interested but are concerned about the validity of our involvement, I would encourage them to feel free to contact the organization on their own and inquire as to our level of involvement.

Our current goal is to collect 500 balls to send overseas, we believe with the effort that the Medford Striker Teams have conquered in the past, along with the help of any other organizations that may like to help out, we can not only meet, but exceed that goal!
